Career Video Information A video consortium, consisting of various state workforce agency representatives, develops the career videos. Interested organizations, public and private, are encouraged to use these clips to help career decision makers and jobseekers find employment success and career satisfaction. After all, their foremost objective is to promote the process of making informed career decisions. The career videos, collectively and individually, are public domain software. They are released without usage restrictions. While, in the interest of continued funding for this program the consortium does suggest that an attribution statement be included with public release of the clips, none is required. The videos are extremely easy to use and are open-captioned for the hearing-impaired. Spanish-language videos are also available for some of the careers in the library. All video clips and royalty-free still photographs of all profiled occupations have been coded into the O*NET taxonomy. They are available on CD sets and via Internet download in several formats: Sorensen QuickTime compression, Uncaptioned Mpeg-1 compression, and Open-Captioned Mpeg-1 compression.
