Award Criteria

Computer Science Medal Award Criteria:  Student takes responsibility for learning, strives for knowledge through independent study and active learning (ISAL) activities, assists others in learning computer science concepts and techniques, demonstrates mastery of subject matter through meaningful content in all projects. Contributes skills, knowledge, and know-how to the local community and/or the RMA community. Has earned a grade of 90 or greater each quarter (both semesters no exceptions), and maintained an excellent portfolio and been of good character. Recommendation for this award is presented to the department chair and principal for final approval.

Computer Science Excellence Award Criteria: Student must have earned at least a grade of 90 each quarter (both semesters no exceptions) including at least a grade of 90 on the semester final exams. In addition, student must have maintained an excellent portfolio and been of good character. 

Webmaster Hall of Fame Award Criteria: Student takes responsibility for learning, strives for knowledge through independent study and active learning (ISAL) activities related to Programming for the Internet, assists others in learning, demonstrate mastery of subject matter through meaningful content in all projects related to web site design, including database driven websites using ASP technology (as of 03-04).  Contributed skills, knowledge, and know-how to the local community and/or the RMA community. Must have earned at least a grade of 90 each semester (both semesters no exceptions), and maintained an excellent portfolio and been of good character.
