     Mymona -1 is a culmination of my artistic growth. My style and feelings are powerful and now, I understand them. Abstracts are my passion for even they are about something! I begin with strong fundamental design, and create with therapeutic vigor. 

     Mymona -1’s simple earthy palette leaves other symbols to set a story. The subject is one large biomorphic shape. The shape is female...it is me. Areas of filigreed relief repeat existence of my delicate strength. The contrasting geometric shapes are male emphasized by the black and white domineering force. The piece is about gender politics as the male manipulates under and over. The dream of harmony prevails in the background vignette of spiritual light. I survive through this support, and my tiny red veins continue to pump life.

     Experimentation led me to new techniques. I extended the art’s subjects onto the frame, integrating the piece. The focal point is an additional 3”x 5” canvas placed 1” above the picture plain. This piece is my favorite.  I will continue this piece as a series using its style and shapes.
