Form Name: TAE (Joyfulness)
  • The 2nd form is Tae, Tae is the principle of joyfulness and manifests thought a clear and relaxed mind full of positive thoughts.
  • This form should be performed gently but forcefully, with ease and fluidity. You should not be struggling against your limitations, but living fully within them.
  • Tae is the 2nd form practiced by seasoned beginners (Yellow belts) in WTF Taekwondo for promotion to Orange belt.

23 Movements

1.Turn left 90 degrees; low block (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

2. Move forward; center punch (right hand); front stance (right forward)

3. Turn right 180 degrees; low block (right hand); walking stance (right forward)

4. Move forward; center punch (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

5. Turn left 90 degrees; inside block (right hand); walking stance (left forward)

6. Move forward; inside block (left hand); walking stance (right forward)

7. Turn left 90 degrees; low block (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

8. Stationary; front snap kick (right leg)

9. Move forward; high punch (right hand); front stance (right forward)

10. Turn right 180 degrees; low block (right hand); walking stance (right forward)

11. Stationary; front snap kick (left leg)

12. Move forward; high punch (left hand); front stance (left forward)

13. Turn left 90 degrees; high block (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

14. Move forward; high block (right hand); walking stance (right forward)

15. Turn left 270 degrees; inside block (right hand); walking stance (left forward)

16. Turn right 180 degrees; inside block (left hand); walking stance (right forward)

17. Turn left 90 degrees; low block (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

18. Stationary; front snap kick (right leg)

19. Move forward; center punch (right hand); walking stance (right forward)

20. Stationary; front snap kick (left leg)

21. Move forward; center punch (left hand); walking stance (left forward)

22. Stationary; front snap kick (right leg)

23. Move forward; center punch (right hand); walking stance (right forward); kihap

Return: Turn left 180 degrees backwards; end facing forward
